Ag Mechanics Team

Congratulations to our FFA Ag Mechanics CDE team who placed first in the Section 16 contest. Zach Coon placed first in the Electricity division, Jared Ferguson placed first in the Surveying division, Alex Bailey placed first in the Carpentry division, Kaleb Wood placed third in the Power and Machinery division, and Reagan Miller placed third in the Welding division.

Lake Land College West Building as the Glazebrook Wing

Three of our FFA members, Cody Carman, Jared Ferguson, and Hilari Elzy, attended a posthumous award ceremony dedication and naming the Ag Wing of the West Building at Lake Land College as the Glazebrook Wing.

Sullivan FFA placed third in section for Dairy Products

The Sullivan FFA chapter attended a contest and placed third in the Section 16 Dairy Products CDE on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010. Tyler Stewart received fourth place of the individuals. Cody Carman received 7th place while Sinead Martin got tenth. Randy Williamson participated in the contest as well. At this CDE participants judged milk head units, identified cheese, identified defects in milk samples, identified if a product was real or artificial, evaluated milk samples, and took a quiz on the dairy industry.

Sullivan FFA wins County and Sectional Soils contests

The Sullivan FFA won the Moultrie County Soils contest held on Sept. 29th and then won the Sectional Soils Contest held in Maroa on October 7th. See our  "Awards" section for more details.


Sullivan FFA Chapter BBQ

The Sullivan FFA Chapter's Back to School BBQ will be held on Tuesday, August 24th starting at 6:00 PM at the park. Dinner will be followed by our first FFA chapter meeting of the year and recreation afterwards. This event is free of charge for all FFA members.

Gold Emblem in National Proficiency

Congratulations to Mark McKown for earning Gold Emblem status in the National Proficiency awards judging this summer. His award area was in Agriculture Education.
